I watched with keen interest as a male lizard (Agama) was consistently and furiously hitting a water bottle

that was lying vertically on the ground.

The lizard kept on reinforcing just to penetrate into the plastic bottle, then I stood wondering what was going on.

However, as I move closer, something inside the bottle caught my attention and the lizard went away because I moved too close. Inside this bottle were many grasshoppers that were having limitation in flying. Then I pitied the lizard, I know what it takes to see or perceive the aroma from a food without having the opportunity to taste it.

The more the lizard hit the bottle, the more jumpy the insects were. If the bottle had been a breakable bottle, perhaps the lizard would have injured itself with the force it attacked with.

Lessons
Jesus is the Solid Rock (the bottle)!
Your enemies are like the lizard filled with rage and bitterness because they cannot touch an hair on your head, do you why? It is because you are hidden in the Solid Rock! If you’ve ever seen a rock then you’ll know what difficulty it is to break or penetrate into it let alone a Solid Rock (Jesus). He is the Solid Rock that can never be broken.

Secondly the insects were imprisoned, they were deprived of their freedom. Same thing happens to people that are living a Christ less life, the enemy cages them and dictates to them where and where they can be or go.

From the above two lessons, which aspect do you want to belong to? I’ll like to appeal to you that you should Come to Him today and have your life saved and secured.

As we begin this New Year, begin the year with Him by ultimately surrendering your life to Him and let Him lead and keep you all through this year and beyond. God help you to start well so you could end well.
